About Cel

You have a chair which needs a re-looking to match with your home ?

You found a beautiful chair on a flea market which needs to be fixed-up ?

You would like to give a new style to your grand-Pa chair to offer it to your lovely niece ?

The seat is tired, depending on the kind of chair, it’s possible to find longevity and comfort with an Upholstery job, with different density of foams or traditional stuff (springs, burlap, horse hair).

Recovering your chair with a new fabric will give the ambiance you looked for, in your home. I know many stores to find your fabric.

So if you still love your furniture but you can’t use it as it, don’t waste it, I probably can do something to help !

Your old and unusable chair will become yours again. You’ll  be getting a chair custom made just for your style…

The traditional Upholstery process gives a second chance to your chairs and avoids waste

It requires many stages, with  different materials (jute webbing , springs (or not, depending on the chair), burlap,  horse hair, muslin, cord, string, batting), and tools  (magnetic hammer, stretcher,  upholstery needles…).

I passed my Traditional Chair Upholstery Degree in France on June 2013, since, I do my best to give you the chair you will like…and I will never forget giving a French Touch on each of my creation.

Also, my “no waste” philosophy push me to developpe small projects different from chairs upholstery, in the way to use and recycle my “petit” end-cut of fabrics and scraps, as well as everything we can find around us like old picture frame,  corks, cans, cardboard… first I made upholstery fabric patchworks for chairs, then patchwork cushions, then bulletin board, wreaths, small baskets…

This was the starting of a range of recycled creations called “1 petit Cel”.

Since 2015, I’m happy to serve the Princeton, Cranbury and South Brunswick areas in NJ, USA !
